Hang Dong District
Hang Dong is located southwest of Chiang Mai, at the foot of Doi Suthep, and is the perfect entrance to nature. Many long-term foreign residents choose to live here, compared to central areas such as the old city or Nimman, you can get a larger living area, your own yard, or pool. The lifestyle here is more relaxed, with a choice of different cuisines, big farms, and cafes hidden around, but you will need your own transportation.

San Kamphaeng District
San Kamphaeng is located southeast of Chiang Mai, famous for its skilled artisans who produce beautiful silk and handwoven textiles, as well as intricate woodcarvings and pottery. San Kamphaeng Road, often called the "Handicraft Highway," has many workshops and showrooms, you can witness the artisans at work, and purchase unique souvenirs. Saraphi District is located south of Chiang Mai, known for its rural charm and agricultural landscape, Saraphi offers visitors an authentic experience of local Thai life.
